Tensions flared at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Sunday evening after some unidentified supporters allegedly deflated the tyres of Nations FC head coach Frimpong Manso’s vehicle following the club’s disappointing home defeat to Vision FC.

The situation reportedly escalated shortly after the final whistle, with angry supporters expressing their frustration over the result. Eyewitnesses at the stadium indicated that a group of agitated fans surrounded areas close to the team’s dressing room and car park, creating a tense atmosphere at the venue.
As of 6:00pm, Coach Frimpong Manso was said to have remained locked inside a secured room within the stadium premises under heavy security protection, while supporters continued to linger around the facility.
Security personnel were deployed to prevent the situation from deteriorating further, as efforts were made to safely escort the coach and other club officials from the grounds.
The defeat to Vision FC is understood to have intensified pressure on Nations FC, with supporters voicing their disappointment over the team’s recent performances.
Club officials are yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
