Black Starlets goalkeeper John Annan has secured a place in the final squad for the upcoming 2025 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Morocco.

The highly-rated shot-stopper, who plays for Soccer Intellectuals Sporting Club in the Access Bank Division One League, has been rewarded for his impressive performances and consistency during the team’s preparation campaign ahead of the continental tournament.

At just 15 years old, Annan is already being tipped as one of Ghana’s exciting young goalkeeping prospects. His composure, sharp reflexes and commanding presence between the posts have earned him admiration from coaches and football enthusiasts alike.

Away from football, the talented youngster is also a student of Adiembra Senior High School, where he continues to balance his academic work with his rapidly growing football career.

His inclusion in the Black Starlets squad is expected to serve as a major inspiration to many young footballers across the country who aspire to combine education with sporting excellence.

The Black Starlets will be aiming to make a strong impact at the tournament in Morocco as Ghana seeks to reclaim its rich history in youth football on the African continent.
