Didi Dramani Provides Update on Benjamin Asare’s Recovery

Hearts of Oak head coach, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, has confirmed that goalkeeper Benjamin Asare is steadily regaining full fitness following his recent lay-off, though the technical team is taking a cautious approach to his return.

According to the coach, Asare trained fully throughout last week and is currently operating at about 70 per cent match readiness. The shot-stopper also featured for 30 minutes in a friendly encounter, a move Dramani described as part of a carefully structured reintegration process.

“Benjamin trained throughout last week, so he is about seventy per cent ready,” Dramani told the media. “He played 30 minutes in our friendly last week, and we are gradually integrating him back into the team.”

The Hearts of Oak trainer explained that Asare’s absence was due to circumstances beyond the club’s control, describing it as a force majeure, which has influenced the pace at which the medical and technical teams are managing his comeback.

“He went out due to a force majeure situation, and that affects how we reintegrate him into the squad,” Dramani added. “We want to be careful so that he returns stronger and avoids any setbacks.”

Asare’s availability is expected to provide a timely boost for the Phobians as they navigate a demanding run of fixtures in the domestic league, with the club prioritising player welfare over rushed returns.
