Senya Circuit Crowned Overall Champions at Awutu Senya Inter-Circuit Athletics Competition

Senya Circuit delivered a dominant performance to emerge overall champions in both the boys’ and girls’ divisions at the 2026 Awutu Senya Inter-Circuit Athletics Competition held at Obrachire Senior High School.

The highly competitive basic schools athletics championship brought together young athletes from eight circuits across the municipality, namely Obrachire Circuit, Bawjiase ‘A’ Circuit, Bawjiase ‘B’ Circuit, Awutu Circuit, Bontrase Circuit, Jei Krodua Circuit, Ayensuako Circuit and Senya Circuit.

After an exciting display of talent, determination and sportsmanship, Senya Circuit distinguished itself as the best-performing circuit, finishing first in both the boys’ and girls’ categories.

Boys’ Division Performance

Senya Circuit secured gold medals in the following events:

– Long Jump

– Discus Throw

– Shot Put

– Triple Jump

– 400 Metres

– 4×400 Metres Relay

The circuit also won silver medals in:

– Triple Jump

– 100 Metres

Bronze medals were earned in:

– Long Jump

– 200 Metres

– 1,500 Metres

– 400 Metres

Girls’ Division Performance

In the girls’ category, Senya Circuit claimed gold medals in:

– 3,000 Metres

– High Jump

– Triple Jump

– 400 Metres

– 100 Metres

– 4×400 Metres Relay

Silver medals were secured in:

– Long Jump

– 200 Metres

– 1,500 Metres

– Triple Jump

The girls also collected bronze medals in:

– 1,500 Metres

– 400 Metres

– 200 Metres
