Black Princesses Arrive in Nelspruit Ahead of Crucial World Cup Qualifier Against South Africa

Ghana’s Black Princesses have arrived in Nelspruit for the decisive return leg of their FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier against South Africa.

The team departed Accra on Tuesday evening aboard a South African Airways flight and touched down at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg before continuing their journey to Nelspruit, arriving in Mbombela at approximately 12:00pm on Wednesday.

The delegation was warmly received at OR Tambo by officials from the Ghana High Commission in South Africa, who welcomed the team and offered words of encouragement ahead of the crucial encounter. After completing arrival formalities, the squad travelled on to Nelspruit, where they are expected to begin final preparations for the tie.

Head coach and his technical team are expected to oversee light recovery training sessions as the players acclimatise and fine-tune tactics ahead of the fixture. The match forms part of the qualification campaign for the upcoming FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, with both sides battling for a place in the next stage of the competition.

The Black Princesses will be aiming to secure a positive result on South African soil as they continue their quest for another appearance on the global stage.
