The Spokesperson of the Ghana Football Association, Henry Twum Asante has poured cold water on news making rounds that the association has intentionally shrouded the contract of new Black Stars head coach in secrecy.
Henry Twum says the association will organize a special ceremony to officially announce Chris Hughton as the substantive head coach of the senior national team.
In an interview with Hot FM in Accra, he hinted that the number of years given him and what is required from the former Newcastle United gaffer will be stipulated during the ceremony.
“The GFA will organize and unveiling ceremony to announce Chris Hughton officially to Ghanaians as the new Head Coach of the Black Stars.
“His number of years and terms of reference will be noted at the unveiling.”
The Black Stars will be preparing for their next competitive game after the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in the AFCON 2023 Qualifier against Angola in March 2023 under the guidance of Chris Hughton.
Chris Hughton was the Technical Director of the Black Star since January 2022 until his permanent appointment as the Black Stars coach earlier this month.
