Renowned boxing coach and matchmaker Augustus Doodo has lavished praise on rising Bukom talent Theophilus Kpakpo “Lopez” Allotey, describing the young fighter as a potential future star of Ghanaian boxing.

In an exclusive interview with SportsnetghTv, Doodo revealed that he has been closely monitoring Allotey’s development and is impressed not only by his ability in the ring, but also by his discipline outside it.

According to Doodo, the Bukom-based prospect stands out from many of his peers due to his strong work ethic and focused lifestyle. He noted that while some young fighters may be easily distracted after training, Allotey remains committed to his craft.

“After training, you will not find him loitering on the streets,” Doodo explained. “He goes straight home, rests, and prepares for the next session. That is the true mark of a disciplined boxer.”

Bukom, widely regarded as the heartbeat of Ghanaian boxing, has produced several world-class fighters over the years. Doodo believes Allotey has the potential to follow in those illustrious footsteps if he maintains his current trajectory.

He further highlighted the youngster’s technical development, ring intelligence and hunger for success as key attributes that could propel him onto the international stage.

“The sky is the limit for him,” Doodo added. “If he continues on this path, stays humble, and keeps working hard, he can go very far—possibly even beyond the shores of Ghana.”

Allotey’s steady rise has already begun to attract attention within local boxing circles, with many observers tipping him as one of the next big names to emerge from Bukom’s rich boxing tradition.
