Ghana international Daniel-Kofi Kyereh has taken a significant step in his comeback journey after making a long-awaited return to competitive action.

The attacking midfielder featured as a second-half substitute for SC Freiburg II in their home fixture against SV Eintracht Trier 05, marking his first appearance in several months following a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Kyereh made an immediate impact after his introduction, showing glimpses of his creativity and sharpness by setting up one of the goals in Freiburg’s emphatic 4–1 victory. His assist not only highlighted his vision and technical quality but also served as an encouraging sign of his growing match fitness.

The 29-year-old has endured a challenging period due to injury setbacks, which had kept him out of action for an extended duration and raised concerns about his long-term fitness. However, this latest outing suggests he is steadily regaining form and confidence as he works his way back to full competitive readiness.

His return will come as welcome news for both his club and the Ghana national team, with the Black Stars closely monitoring his progress ahead of upcoming international assignments.
