New Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz was at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday evening to observe the Black Galaxies during their preparations for an upcoming friendly match against Aduana Stars.

Queiroz was joined by members of his technical staff as well as Ghana Football Association president Kurt Okraku, as the trio watched the local national team go through an intense training session. Their presence drew attention from players, coaches and supporters gathered at the stadium.

The visit is seen as an important step in strengthening collaboration between Ghana’s senior national team and the Black Galaxies, who continue preparations for future assignments on the continental stage. It also offered Queiroz an opportunity to assess some of the home-based talent that could potentially earn opportunities at a higher level.

Players appeared motivated by the presence of the new Black Stars manager, with the session marked by high energy, tactical drills and competitive intensity. The coaching staff of the Black Galaxies used the occasion to fine-tune their squad ahead of the test match against Aduana Stars, which is expected to provide a valuable measure of the team’s readiness.

The friendly encounter forms part of the Black Galaxies’ build-up programme as they aim to sharpen fitness, improve team chemistry and maintain momentum ahead of upcoming competitions. Meanwhile, Queiroz’s attendance signals his early commitment to monitoring talent across all levels of Ghana football as he begins his tenure in charge of the Black Stars.
