Ghanaian Referee Reginald Collins Amoah Invited for CAF Pre-Tournament Course Ahead of U-17 AFCON Morocco 2026

Ghanaian referee Reginald Collins Amoah has received an invitation from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to participate in the official pre-tournament training course ahead of the TotalEnergies U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2026.

The preparatory programme is scheduled to take place from 7 to 13 May in Morocco and will bring together a select group of referees and assistant referees chosen from across the continent to prepare for the prestigious youth championship.

The course forms a key part of CAF’s preparations for the tournament, with match officials expected to undergo intensive sessions covering the latest laws of the game, fitness assessments, video analysis, decision-making drills and modern officiating techniques. Participants will also receive guidance on teamwork, communication and the use of technology in football officiating.

Amoah’s selection is another positive development for Ghanaian football, highlighting the growing recognition of the country’s referees on the continental stage. His invitation reflects confidence in his performances and consistency in domestic and international assignments.

The TotalEnergies U-17 AFCON remains one of Africa’s most important youth competitions, showcasing the continent’s brightest young talents while also serving as a platform for referees to demonstrate their quality at the highest level.
