President of the Ghana Athletics, Bawah Fuseini, has expressed profound gratitude to all sponsors and partners whose support contributed to the successful hosting of the just-ended 24th CAA African Senior Athletics Championships in Accra.

The continental showpiece, which brought together some of Africa’s finest athletes, coaches and officials, was widely praised for its organisation, hospitality and competitive atmosphere, further cementing Ghana’s growing reputation as a capable host of major international sporting events.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with this reporter after the championship, Mr Fuseini acknowledged the immense role played by corporate institutions, government agencies and stakeholders in ensuring the competition was delivered successfully.

“We are deeply grateful to all our sponsors and partners for believing in Ghana Athletics and supporting the vision to host a successful championship in Accra,” he said.
“This event was not only about medals and records, but also about showcasing Ghana’s capacity to organise world-class sporting competitions. The support we received from our sponsors was exceptional and greatly appreciated.”
Mr Fuseini paid special tribute to Hoshii International Limited for serving as the official Gold Sponsor and Official Food and Energy Drink Partner of the championship.
According to him, the company’s flagship products, including X1 Energy Drinks and Hoshi Instant Rice, played a key role in supporting athletes, officials and event staff throughout the competition.
“Hoshii International Limited demonstrated remarkable commitment towards the success of the championship. Their partnership gave us enormous support in the areas of nutrition, energy supply and logistics, which contributed significantly to the smooth running of the event,” he added.
The Ghana Athletics President also commended Peeva Beverages for partnering the federation as the official beverage and mineral water sponsor.
He noted that the company ensured athletes and officials remained hydrated during the demanding competition schedule, particularly under Accra’s warm weather conditions.
“Peeva Beverages played a crucial role in keeping participants refreshed and hydrated throughout the championship. Their contribution was invaluable and we sincerely appreciate their commitment to African athletics,” Mr Fuseini stated.
He further extended appreciation to the Government of Ghana, the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, volunteers, security agencies, medical teams, media partners and fans whose collective efforts helped create a memorable championship atmosphere.
The championship featured outstanding performances from several African athletics powerhouses, including South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria and Ethiopia, while Ghana also earned praise for its organisation and warm hospitality.
Fuseini expressed optimism that the successful hosting of the event would open more doors for Ghana to attract future international sporting competitions and investment into athletics development.
“The success of this championship has shown that Ghana is ready to host more major international events. We will continue to work hard to develop athletics and create opportunities for our young athletes to excel on the global stage,” he concluded.
