A New Era for Ghana Boxing – Vote Rabbon Dodoo for GBA President
Dear Delegates,
On June 4, 2026, we stand at a defining crossroads in the history of Ghana professional boxing. The date itself carries profound significance — a reminder of the historic moment Ghana chose a new path founded on probity, accountability, and responsible leadership.

Today, the responsibility lies with us once again.
This election is not a time for experimentation or uncertainty. Ghana boxing requires experienced, accessible, and visionary leadership — leadership that understands the realities of the sport, appreciates the struggles of stakeholders, and is committed to service rather than control.
We need a leader who lives and breathes boxing; one who will create opportunities for all while upholding discipline, professionalism, and fairness to build a thriving ecosystem for the sport and everyone connected to it.
That leader is Rabbon Dodoo.
Having served in key leadership roles during some of the most successful periods in Ghana boxing history — including eras that produced three world champions — I understand both the heights this sport can reach and the internal challenges capable of derailing progress.
Those experiences have equipped me with the knowledge, perspective, and determination needed to restore Ghana boxing to sustained growth and international prominence.
My Campaign Theme: Good Leadership Equals Opportunity for All
1. Securing Major Sponsorships and Consistent Promotions
A Rabbon Dodoo administration will aggressively pursue major sponsorship and broadcast partnerships at both national and continental levels to guarantee at least 12 major promotions annually, separate from individual promoter-led events.
Consistent promotions are the lifeblood of professional boxing. More fight nights mean:
Increased opportunities for boxers
Better earnings for trainers, referees, cutmen, and matchmakers
Greater exposure for promoters
A stronger and more sustainable boxing economy
Together, we can restore excitement and consistency to Ghana’s boxing calendar.
2. Technical and Business Capacity Building
The future of Ghana boxing depends on well-trained and empowered stakeholders. My administration will organise regular seminars, workshops, and certification programmes to improve standards across the industry.
These initiatives will include:
Rules and Medical Compliance Training
Comprehensive education on medical procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements before, during, and after contests.
Coaching and Cutman Development Courses
Advanced training programmes led by experienced professionals to improve technical expertise, injury management, and athlete performance.
Marketing and Promotion Workshops
Training promoters and managers to develop compelling sponsorship proposals, market events effectively, and build stronger boxer brands.
Gym Sustainability and Revenue Models
Supporting gym owners and trainers with practical strategies for generating stable income through membership systems, community programmes, and youth development initiatives.
3. Establishment of a Stakeholder Welfare Fund
No individual who dedicates their life to boxing should be abandoned in times of hardship.
Under my leadership, the Ghana Boxing Authority will establish a welfare fund with a minimum of 40% of all GBA subscription revenue invested into a sustainable support scheme.
The fund will be supervised by an independent board of trustees, predominantly made up of former GBA administrators, to ensure transparency, credibility, and accountability.
The welfare scheme will provide support for:
Injured boxers
Retired fighters in distress
Trainers facing hardship
Stakeholders requiring emergency assistance
A Vote for Progress, Accountability, and Opportunity
Ghana boxing possesses enormous talent, rich history, and untapped commercial potential. What we need now is leadership capable of uniting stakeholders, restoring confidence, and creating opportunities for everyone involved in the sport.
For professional, accountable, and opportunity-driven leadership, I humbly ask for your support and vote.
Vote Rabbon Dodoo for President of the Ghana Boxing Authority.
I am ready to serve.
Together, let us build a future where every stakeholder benefits and Ghana boxing reclaims its rightful place at the summit of African and world boxing.
