Two Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak have made full payment of their mandatory GHc 100,000 seed money for the Ghana Premier League Company Limited for the autonomous league.
The Ghana Premier League gained autonomy last week when the Ghana Football Association announced that the league has been fully registered at Registrar General Department and that all eighteen Premier League clubs will have to make that amount to usher in its full implementation.
The Committee that was set up by the FA chaired by Togbe Afede XIV met clubs to conclude that the Autonomous League takes full effect in the 2023/24 season when clubs are taken through rigorous education on the Rule Book and engagement processes of the new policy.
The rest of the sixteen clubs who are yet to make payment are expected to do so before the end of the 2022/23 season to ensure firm grips on it full implementation before the start of the 2023/23 season.
