Nsoatreman FC condemns assault on Head Coach, players
Management of Premier League side, Nsoatreman FC have condemned the attacks on Maxwell Konadu, Head Coach of the side and some players after their match day 11 clash against Bofoakwa Tano at the Sunyani Coronation Park.
At full time, some fans of the club were unhappy with the draw against the visitors, hence invaded the pitch and assaulted Coach Konadu and some players.
A statement from the club said “Nsoatreman Football Club unequivocally condemns the unprovoked, unwarranted and unsporting acts of hooliganism meted to our head Coach, Maxwell Konadu and some of our players this afternoon in our match day 11 fixture against Bofoakwa Tano Football Club at the Sunyani Coronation Park.”
It noted that Coach Maxwell Konadu is currently undergoing treatment at the Sunyani regional hospital.
Management called on the Ghana Police Service to begin investigations and arrest perpetrators of the barbaric act.
It further urged supporters to remain calm as management would do its best to maintain calmness.
