Match report: Asante Kotoko rape Accra Lions in Kumasi

Defending Ghana Premier League champion, Asante Kotoko placed stubborn Accra Lions in their rightful position during their Match Day 16 encounter of the GPL 2022/23 season at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

 

In a dominating game that saw the home side winning both halves by 2-0, cemented their strength at home without a defeat, thus far, in an improved outing.

 

Coming from a controversial game in Aiyinase against Karela United that stared a disappointed lost from a spot giving, Asante Kotoko whipped some hopes of hitting the exact bar in defending the league diadem by annihilating their opponents on Monday by 4-0.

 

Newly signed Rashid Nortey opened the scoring for Asante Kotoko on the 23rd minutes continuing his perfect start to life in Kumasi.

 

Few minutes later, Ugandan sensation Steven Dese Mukwala scored the second for Asante Kotoko on the 27th minutes to put them on

for another demolition exercise at home right after dealing with Kotoku Royals by 5-1 in their previous home game.
