Seidu Zerbo led Asante Kotoko’s charges to a 4-0 victory on Monday night at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium against Accra Lions and speaks highly of his side’s output.
The Burkinabe reveals the hard work that has gone in the team’s preparation towards the game making the four-star performance not startling.
In a back-to-back annihilation of opponents at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in their last two home games under floodlights, Zerbo cannot assure consistency in his side as he cries of injuries affecting his team.
However, he stresses that much focus is giving to that aspect and would be a thing of the past as the league enters the second round.
Speaking to the media after the game, the 59-year-old says “They’ve done it all because we’re prepared, this is their match of today and sure they play it to the last and they have done it.”
“We can’t say much about consistency because it has been a problem and the players are getting injured match after match. We will surely work on that”, he added.
Asante Kotoko are currently second on the league log with 27 points after 16 games with a game left to enter the second round of matches of the 2022/23 season.
