Enterprising midfielder Appiah McCarthy has signed a one-year contract extension with Bibiani Gold Stars FC, the club confirmed on Tuesday.

The new deal will keep the 28-year-old at the club until June 2026, as the Ghana Premier League champions prepare for a historic season which includes their debut campaign in the CAF Champions League.

McCarthy, who joined Gold Stars from Ashanti Gold SC, has become an integral part of the team’s midfield. His creativity, experience, and consistency have been vital to the club’s rise in recent seasons.

The contract extension is seen as a major boost to the club’s ambitions for the 2025/26 season, as they aim to build on their domestic success and make an impression on the continental stage.
