Madagascar National Team honoured by the State

The National Team of Madagascar have been honoured with gold medals by the State following an impeccable efforts at the just ended Championship of Africa Nations (CHAN) held in Algeria.

The honour was done the players and the technical team of The Barea after showing par excellent performance throughout the tournament.

Having had a showing in their maiden participation of the tournament in its 7th edition, Madagascar finished 3rd in the tournament to the delights of all.

After gotten eliminated by Senegal in the semi finals stage to book a third-place play off against Niger who were humiliated by the host in the semi finals by 5-0, The Barea further placed priority in their participation by beating Niger in the third place to take a bronze.

Their performance came as startling to all and sundry not because of their first berth to the tournament, but their almost flawless performance throughout the tournament judging from the developing of the game in the country.

Senegal won the tournament by beating host Algeria 5-4 on penalty shootouts after extra time.
