Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Ghana international Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United in a deal worth £55 million during the ongoing summer transfer window.

Kudus, who had also attracted interest from Chelsea and Newcastle United, joins Spurs on a six-year contract from their London rivals.

The 23-year-old attacking midfielder made a notable impact at West Ham following his arrival from Dutch side Ajax in the summer of 2023 for a reported fee of €41.5 million. He scored 13 goals and provided 12 assists in 65 Premier League appearances for the Hammers.

Last season, Kudus registered five goals and four assists in 35 league matches – a slight dip from his debut campaign, where he tallied eight goals and nine assists in the top flight.

His move to Tottenham represents the first direct transfer between the two clubs since Scott Parker made the switch in 2011.

Kudus is expected to add creativity, pace, and versatility to the Spurs midfield as they prepare for the upcoming season under new management.
