GFA Approves 2025 Gbese Mantse Homowo Peace Charity Cup

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially sanctioned the 2025 Gbese Mantse Homowo Peace Charity Cup, a ceremonial football match aimed at promoting peace, unity, and cultural pride.

 

The highly anticipated fixture will see Accra Hearts of Oak face off against Kpando Heart of Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, 17th August 2025.

 

The event forms part of the annual Ga Homowo Festival celebrations and seeks to foster social cohesion through the power of sport. It also serves as a platform to honour the rich cultural traditions of the Ga people.

 

Fans can expect a thrilling contest as both Hearts of Oak and Heart of Lions are expected to field strong sides. The match is not only a sporting spectacle but also a timely reminder of the role football can play in fostering peace and understanding.
