Former Medeama SC forward Jonathan Sowah has completed a move to Tanzanian giants Simba SC, signing a two-year contract ahead of the club’s domestic and continental campaigns.

The 26-year-old joins Simba from Singida Black Stars, where he made a notable impact after arriving from Libyan side Al Nasr midway through last season. Sowah scored an impressive 13 goals in 13 league appearances, helping Singida secure a fourth-place finish with 57 points from 30 matches and a spot in the 2024/25 CAF Confederation Cup.

Simba SC, who finished second in the Tanzanian Premier League with 78 points—just four behind arch-rivals Young Africans—will represent the country in next season’s CAF Champions League. The addition of Sowah is expected to strengthen their attacking options as they prepare for both domestic and continental duties.

Sowah brings with him a wealth of experience, having previously played for Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC, where he played a key role in their league triumph. His impressive form earned him a move to Al Nasr in Libya before switching to Singida in Tanzania.

On the international stage, Sowah made his senior debut for Ghana in 2023 and has since earned three caps for the Black Stars.

All necessary documentation for his move has been completed, and the player is expected to join his new teammates shortly for pre-season training.
