Asante Kotoko confirm four departure in the second transfer window

Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko have officially announced the exit of four players from the squad to other clubs during the second transfer window.

The defending league champions were not active, as juxtaposed previous years, during the second window where they added just three players in their folds and releasing four others to join various clubs.

Midfielder Emmanuel Sarkodie and right back Christopher Nakai Nettey left permanently to join Kenpong Soccer Academy and Accra Great Olympics respectively.

Surprisingly, attacker Stephen Amankona failed to glitter in the red shirts and has been sold back permanently to Berekum Chelsea after one-and-half season.

Striker Samuel Boateng has been sent on loan to Premier League side FC Samartex 1996 to help solve the goalscoring ineptitude of the Sameraboi-based side and give them a face-saving lift in surviving the league season.

However, in the absence of these four, Mohammed Alhassan, formerly of Hearts of Oak, Rashid Nortey, formerly of Medeama SC and Medeiras de Souza from Brazil have joined Asante Kotoko over different time periods.
