Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah previously represented England at Under-19 and Under-23 level before opting to switch her international allegiance to Ghana, the country of her heritage. She made her senior debut for the Black Queens in April 2025 during a friendly international, quickly establishing herself as a key attacking option for head coach Nora Häuptle.

Four months later, the British-born forward earned a place in Ghana’s squad for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco. She impressed throughout the tournament with her pace, creativity, and tactical awareness, culminating in a memorable moment when she scored her first goal at a major international competition.

Her performances were instrumental in helping Ghana secure a third-place finish—their first WAFCON medal since 2006—cementing Boye-Hlorkah’s status as one of the rising stars in the squad. The former Everton and Aston Villa winger has since been lauded by fans and pundits alike for her seamless transition to international football and her immediate impact on the continental stage.
