Jonathan Mensah joins San Jose Earthquakes

Ghanaian star Jonathan Mensah has left Columbus Crew after six years stay with the club in the MLS.

The former Ashanti Gold defender has moved to the San Jose Earthquakes until December 31, 2023 in an amount around €187,000.00.

The 32-year-old enjoyed 157 games with Columbus Crew scoring seven times and assisting three in six years.

Columbus Crew, in an official tweet, have thanked the player and wished him well I’m his next adventure.

“You arrived in 2017 and helped usher in a new era. You’re etched into Crew history as the captain who led the team to an MLS Cup & Campeones Cup. But what we will remember most is the immeasurable impact you have had on our community.

Jonathan Mensah has featured 70 times for the Black Stars and has one goal to his credit since 31 May, 2023.
