Scouting for talents at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Elite Academy is currently underway in Sunyani. The exercise, aimed at identifying the most promising young talents for the academy, has already attracted widespread interest from budding footballers.

With the support of GFA Talent Coach Stuart McLaren, the scouting team is expected to move to the Ashanti Region on Thursday to conclude the selection process for the Middle Belt Elite Academy intake. The initiative forms part of the GFA’s broader commitment to nurturing and developing grassroots football, providing a structured pathway for talented youngsters to progress into professional football.
This nationwide talent search is expected to play a crucial role in shaping the future of Ghanaian football by unearthing raw talent, refining technical skills, and offering youngsters the opportunity to train in a professional environment. By bridging the gap between grassroots and elite football, the programme aims to ensure a steady pipeline of quality players for the national youth teams and, ultimately, the Black Stars.
The Elite Academy continues to serve as a vital platform for discovering future stars of Ghanaian football, with this year’s intake anticipated to be highly competitive.
