Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have filed a complaint against officials who officiated their Match Day 17 game against Dreams FC at the Theatre of Dreams at Dawu last Sunday.

Asante Kotoko lost the game by 2-0 kind courtesy Aholou Avocevou and Agyenim Boateng Mensah goals at each half.

The game that was marred with some controversies has ended up at the Match Review Panel of the Ghana Football Association for review and assessment.

There was an offside claim by the Pertitioners on Dreams FC’s first goal on the 14th minute by Aholou Avocevou and a penalty called on Rashid Nortey ignored by center referee Rustum Gameli Senorgbe late in the first half.

In a club statement on the club’s social media handles, Asante Kotoko announce that “The club after a careful study of yesterday’s game footage has filed a Complaint with the GFA against the decisions of the officiating officials.”

The public and football loving fans await the outcome of the results after the Committee’s deliberation on the matter.

Asante Kotoko could not pick up a win in their last five away games against Aduana Stars, RTU, Bibiani Goldstars, Karela United and Dreams FC.

They finished third on the league log with 27 points after the first round of matches in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.
