Ghanaian striker Felix Afena-Gyan has finalised a move to Turkish second-tier side Amedspor from Italian outfit Cremonese.

The 23-year-old forward joins on a season-long loan, with an option for Amedspor to make the transfer permanent at the end of the campaign.

Afena-Gyan, who rose to prominence at AS Roma before moving to Cremonese in 2022, was unveiled to enthusiastic scenes as Amedspor fans and officials gave him a rousing reception upon his arrival. Club executives expressed their delight at securing his services, describing him as a “proven talent with the hunger to succeed” and backed him to play a key role in their promotion ambitions.

Supporters also turned out in their numbers at the club’s training ground to welcome the Ghanaian, waving flags and chanting in anticipation of seeing him in action. Afena-Gyan, in return, promised to give his best for the team and help deliver success to the city of Diyarbakır.
