Record 78 Radio Stations Set to Rebroadcast Live Commentary of Ghana Premier League

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed that a record 78 radio stations nationwide have secured accreditation to rebroadcast live commentary of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League (GPL) season.

This landmark initiative, facilitated through GhSportsLive, ensures football fans across Ghana will enjoy uninterrupted access to live match commentary and updates, regardless of their location.

The GFA says the move is part of its broader agenda to bring the league closer to the people and expand its reach across all regions.

Full Regional Breakdown of Accredited Stations

Greater Accra (16): GBC Unique Radio, Joy FM, Adom FM, Asempa FM, GBC Tema, Happy FM, Peace FM, Original FM, Hot FM, Max FM, Kessben Accra, 3FM, Onua FM, Angel FM, Vision FM, Ahotor FM.

Volta Region (5): Dela Radio, GBC Keta Krachi, GBC Volta Star Radio Ho, Buem FM, Swiss FM.

Eastern Region (4): Taste FM, Republican FM, GBC Kintampo Radio, Rock FM.

Central Region (4): Kastle FM, Rock FM, Darling FM, GBC Radio Central.

Western Region (15): Skyy Power FM, Westgold Radio, Angel Takoradi, Maximum FM, Connect FM, Space FM, Prestea FM, Dynamite FM, Tarkwa FM, Energy FM, Oil City FM, GBC Enchi FM, GBC Uniik FM Sefwi Wiawso, Green Gold FM.

The GFA has issued a stern warning to unaccredited stations against unlawfully rebroadcasting live GPL commentary.

According to the Association, offenders will face prosecution, including heavy fines and potential revocation of broadcasting licenses under Ghana’s copyright and broadcasting laws.

By securing a wide pool of accredited radio partners, the GFA is ensuring that the passion and excitement of the Ghana Premier League will resonate across the country, bringing communities together through the nation’s game.
