A delegation of former Ghana internationals, led by PFAG General Secretary Tony Baffoe, paid a visit to the Black Stars camp ahead of their crucial FIFA World Cup qualifier against Mali.

The contingent included Stephen Appiah, Samuel Osei Kuffour, Afriyie Acquah, John Mensah, Haminu Dramani, Yussif Chibsah, John Paintsil and Prince Tagoe — all of whom represented Ghana with distinction during their playing careers.

Their presence is expected to provide a major lift to the morale of the current squad, as they delivered words of encouragement and rallied the players to give their all for the nation.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Tony Baffoe said: “We are here to stand shoulder to shoulder with the team. Having worn the jersey ourselves, we understand the weight of expectation. This is a moment to unite and make the country proud, and we believe the Black Stars can rise to the challenge against Mali.”

The visit highlighted the strong bond between past and present generations of Ghanaian footballers, reinforcing the message of solidarity and national pride as the Black Stars aim for victory.
