The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed the appointment of Kassim Ocansey Mingle as the new Head Coach of the Black Galaxies, Ghana’s national team for the African Nations Championship (CHAN).

Mingle, who has built a strong reputation in Ghanaian football with his tactical acumen and ability to nurture young talent, is expected to bring fresh energy and direction to the side as they prepare for upcoming continental assignments.

He will be supported by two highly respected figures in local football – Coach Samuel Boadu, former Accra Hearts of Oak manager who guided the club to a domestic treble in 2021, and Godwin Attram, an ex-Black Stars forward turned coach with a proven record of developing emerging players.

The Black Galaxies, composed exclusively of home-based players, remain a vital part of Ghana’s football structure, serving both as a platform for showcasing local talent and as a feeder to the senior national team, the Black Stars.

The GFA has expressed confidence that the trio’s combined experience will revitalise the Black Galaxies and position them as strong contenders in future CHAN competitions. Supporters will be looking forward to improved performances, particularly after recent struggles on the continental stage.
