“Phobians urged to pack the Accra Sports Stadium for season opener vs Hohoe United — Coach Didi’s rallying cry”

Head Coach Mas-Ud Didi” Dramani  has once again called on Accra Hearts of Oak’s devoted supporters to rally behind the club in full force as the new Ghana Premier League season gets underway.

Having witnessed the steadfast backing of the fans through all the pre-season games, Coach Didi reminded everyone of how critical the early league matches are: they are the culmination of all the hard work and training in the build-up.

> “You have been with us every step of the way during pre-season,” he said. “Now comes the moment when all our preparations will be tested in earnest. The opening fixtures carry enormous weight, not just for points, but for confidence, momentum and belief. So we implore every Phobian to come out in their thousands, raise your voices, and do what you always do — support the red, yellow and blue with all your passion.”

The first match of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season sees Hearts of Oak host Hohoe United at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday 12 September 2025. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm (GMT).

With the Phobians having made several important signings and working under renewed focus, Coach Didi and the technical team believe that a spirited performance in front of a raucous home crowd could set the tone for a successful campaign.

The club’s management has pledged full support to the players and staff, emphasising that nothing lifts morale like seeing a packed stadium — especially at the opening whistle.
