Ghanaian defender Salisu Mohammed endured a difficult evening on his first start of the 2025/26 Ligue 1 campaign, as he inadvertently turned the ball into his own net during AS Monaco’s clash against AJ Auxerre.
The incident occurred midway through the match, leaving the Monegasque side unsettled as Auxerre capitalised on the defender’s unfortunate miscue. Despite Mohammed’s typically commanding presence at the back, his moment of misfortune handed Auxerre a crucial advantage.
