The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced the establishment of a Division One Super Cup Committee, with Inter Allies FC’s Rabeh El-Eter appointed as its inaugural Chairman.

El-Eter, a long-serving football administrator and respected figure in the Division One League, will spearhead the committee’s mandate to oversee the smooth organisation, promotion, and execution of the annual Super Cup competition.

He will be deputised by Richard Osei Akoto, the experienced Administrator of Asante Kotoko SC, who has been confirmed as Vice-Chairman.

The committee will also feature a blend of club executives and seasoned football personalities, including:

Francis Ofori Mensah, Chief Executive Officer of Port City Football Club

Abdul Rahman Yakubu, a representative from Vision FC

Paa Kwesi Arbuah, Chief Executive Officer of New Edubiase United FC

Mohammed Alhassan, a former National Chapters Committee (NCC) Organiser of Accra Hearts of Oak SC

Evans Kyere Kwame, a football development enthusiast and administrator

The Division One Super Cup, first introduced in 2021, was designed to provide competitive preparation for Division One League clubs ahead of the season while offering a platform to showcase emerging talent. With the formation of this dedicated committee, the GFA aims to further enhance the competition’s profile and ensure it continues to play a vital role in Ghana’s football calendar.
