Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker Albert Amoah has declared that the Porcupine Warriors are ready to reclaim the Ghana Premier League title after breaking a 15-year winless streak against Berekum Chelsea.

Amoah was the hero over the weekend, scoring the decisive goal in Kotoko’s 1-0 victory to end the long-standing jinx and restore belief among the club’s passionate supporters.

Speaking to Akoma 87.9 FM after the historic win, Amoah made clear the team’s ambitions for the season.

“We want to win the league. We have already lifted the FA Cup and other trophies, including the Toyota Cup, but this is the time for us to win the league,” he said confidently.

The striker also sent a heartfelt message to the fans, urging them to remain steadfast in their support.

“I will urge the fans to always support us in both good and difficult times because, without them, we are nothing. Even when things get tough, they should stand with us. Their energy keeps us going.”

Kotoko’s victory not only brought an end to a painful hoodoo but also signalled their intent to mount a serious title charge. With Amoah in fine form, the Porcupine Warriors look poised to make a strong push for league glory this season.
