The Porcupine Warriors have been dealt a huge blow as they are set to miss out on the services of the 26-year-old lethal frontman for more than a month after picking up an injury in their season opener over the weekend

Asante Kotoko striker Kwame Opoku has been ruled out for six weeks after suffering from an ankle injury in their 1-0 victory against Berekum Chelsea in the Ghana Premier League on Saturday.

The former USM Alger attacker was hobbled off the pitch on the 20th minute during the clash and he is now set to sit out for the aforementioned periods following a scan test being carried out by his club medical personnel.

This latest injury setback now comes as a huge blow for his side as they will be without his service given their impending crucial CAF Confederation Cup encounter against Nigerian side Kwara United at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, September 21, 2025.
