Mona Abdel Karim: Egypt is Capable of Hosting Global Events and Proud of the Success of the African Championship

Mona Abdel Karim, Treasurer of the Egyptian Volleyball Federation and Head of the Organizing Committee of the African Youth Championship, affirmed that the current edition of the tournament, held at Dr. Hassan Mostafa Sports Hall Complex in the 6th of October City, stands as further proof of Egypt’s excellence in hosting major continental sporting events.

Abdel Karim praised the smooth and impressive organization of the championship since day one, noting that this success was achieved thanks to the close cooperation between the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Volleyball Federation, led by Eng. Yasser Kamar, the great support from Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Eng. Yasser Idris, President of the Egyptian Olympic Committee.

She added that the participating delegations expressed their admiration for the warm hospitality and precise organization, considering this as a true reflection of Egypt’s image as a country of security and achievement. Abdel Karim also highlighted the special praise from Ms. Bouchra Hajij, President of the African Volleyball Confederation, which she regarded as well-deserved recognition of the efforts exerted and clear proof of the continent’s trust in Egypt’s ability to host the most prestigious championships.

Abdel Karim concluded her remarks by stressing that Egypt is no longer just a host of tournaments but has become an icon of sports organization in Africa. She pointed out that the success of this championship, from the heart of Cairo, strengthens the legacy of African volleyball and provides strong motivation for younger generations to continue achieving greater accomplishments.
