Ghana’s national side, the Black Stars, have nudged up one place in the latest FIFA Men’s World Rankings, rising to 75th in the world from 76th.

This slight improvement follows their performance in September’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers, in which they collected four points. They were held to a 1-1 draw away to Chad, then secured a 1-0 win over Mali at home in Accra.

Despite the rise in global ranking, Ghana remain 14th among African nations.

Under head coach Otto Addo, the Black Stars now look ahead to further fixtures in October against the Central African Republic and Comoros, with hopes of advancing their position both in the world standings and on the continent.
