Asante Kotoko Sporting Club’s Head Coach, Abdul Karim Zito, has launched a strong rebuke at the manager of Nigeria’s Kwara United following the Porcupine Warriors’ emphatic double victory in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Kotoko sealed qualification to the next stage of the competition after defeating Kwara United both home and away, underlining their dominance across the two legs.
Speaking to the press after the second-leg victory, Coach Zito did not mince his words:
“The Kwara United coach, who does not even hold a coaching licence, was talking rubbish when I beat him in Ghana. I have taught him a lesson by defeating him again today,” he stated.
The win further cements Kotoko’s reputation as one of Ghana’s most successful clubs on the continental stage, as they chase a return to glory in Africa. The outspoken Zito, known for his candid remarks, insisted that the result was not just about advancing in the competition but also about proving his technical superiority.
Asante Kotoko will now turn their attention to the next round of the Confederation Cup, with their passionate supporters hoping that the club can mount a serious challenge for the trophy this season.
