BREAKING NEWS: The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has dismissed King Faisal Football Club’s request for a stay of execution in their ongoing legal battle against the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

In an official communication, CAS stated:

“The request for stay of execution filed by King Faisal in September 2025 in the matter CAS 2025/A/11757, King Faisal v. Ghana Football Association, is denied.”

This ruling means that the original decision taken by the GFA and upheld by its judicial bodies will continue to stand and be enforced while the substantive case is still under review. King Faisal, who have been contesting their demotion and disciplinary sanctions, had hoped the stay would temporarily halt the GFA’s decision until CAS delivered a final verdict on the matter.

The denial represents a major setback for the Kumasi-based club, who must now continue to operate under the existing sanctions whilst pursuing their appeal at the world’s highest sporting tribunal.
