Black Stars captain Andre Dede Ayew has come to the aid of former Black Satellites coach, Sellas Tetteh who recently requested for his bonuses and allowance from the Ghana Football Association after winning the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Sellas Tetteh, popularly called “Bobo” has been unwell for some years now and has requested his monies with the GFA to be paid to him to cater for his medical expenses.
Ghana conquered the world in 2009 at the youth level in Egypt in a blistering style beating Brazil in the final from the spot to become the only African side to win the competition.
After 14 years of attaining such enviable feet, the nation is yet to fulfill her promise to the winning coach in terms of his bonuses and allowance owned him leaving him in financial difficulties during his ailments.
Ghana of the then side, André Ayew has donated some cash to the former Liberty Professionals coach after hearing the plight of the coach.
The donation was made to Sellas Tetteh on André Ayew’s by the Spokesperson of the Ayew family, Fiifi Tackie and his mother Maha Ayew on Friday to relieve the renowned coach on some expenses being incurred at this crucial time.
Dede Ayew, who now plays in the English Premiership for Nottingham Forest left Al Sadd FC in Qatar after the FIFA 2022 World Cup and has featured twice in the EPL for newly promoted side since joining in February 03, 2023.
