Medeama SC beat Legon Cities by 2-0 at the Tarkwa Akoon Park in Match Day 18 encounter of the Ghana Premier League 2022/23 season.

Two goals from both halves were enough to hand the “Yellow and Mauves” all three points needed in the game to move up on the league ladder.

Nurudeen Abdulai broke the deadlock on the 40th minutes just when all thought there was not going to be a goal before half time to ginger up the game for a superb finish to the first half by the home side.

Medeama SC went into the break with hopes high of beating Legon Cities back-to-back in the second but had another 45 minutes to achieve that.

More than an hour went in the second half after the break without a goal with both team pushing for one to either extend the lead or draw level in the game.

The home side got the better of the game on the 70th minutes when Joshua Agyemang extended the lead for Medeama at the Akoon Park.

Medeama SC held unto the lead to snatch all three points required to push them 6th on the league log after 90 minutes.

They complete their back-to-back defeat to Legon Cities this season when they got a 1-0 victory on Match Day 1 at the El-Wak Stadium under the leadership of David Duncan.
