Three Senya Bereku Division Two Clubs Face Possible Withdrawal Over Financial Difficulties

Three Division Two clubs based in Senya Bereku in the Central Region are facing possible withdrawal from the 2025/2026 Regional Football Association League Season, which is scheduled to commence before 3-5th November 2025.

The affected clubs — Spirrow FC, Wonders FC, and Cheetah FC — are reportedly struggling to raise funds to cover essential expenses such as affiliation fees, officiating costs, transportation, and player allowances.

Sources close to the teams reveal that the financial strain has left them uncertain about their participation in the upcoming campaign. Club owners say the lack of external financial support has made it extremely difficult to sustain operations, posing a major threat to the growth of football in the area.

One club owner described the situation as dire, saying:

“Running a football club here is becoming impossible. There’s no financial support from anywhere, and everything is left on the shoulders of club owners. If things continue this way, many teams will collapse.”

Local sports observers have emphasised that supporting these clubs to remain active in the Division Two League brings significant benefits to the Senya Bereku community.
