The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) will on Saturday host its much-anticipated Golden Jubilee SWAG Awards at the Accra International Conference Centre, marking 50 years of commitment to sports excellence, history and national pride.

This landmark edition celebrates five decades of honouring Ghana’s finest sportsmen and women—icons whose achievements have carried the nation’s colours with distinction both at home and on the international stage.

The event is expected to attract high-profile personalities, including H.E. John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic, the Chief of Staff, and several other distinguished guests who will join the sporting fraternity in recognising athletes who brought the nation gold and glory in 2025, as well as outstanding legends spanning the past fifty years.

The ceremony will commence at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, 15th November, and promises a memorable evening of celebration, reflection and national unity.

Guests will also enjoy musical performances from award-winning artistes Stonebwoy, Fameye, and the Ghana Immigration Band, adding colour and excitement to what is expected to be the biggest night of sports celebration in Ghana.

The public is encouraged not to miss this historic occasion as SWAG crowns its golden milestone with honour and fanfare.
