Benjamin Asare Named Home-Based Footballer of the Year at SWAG Awards
Benjamin Asare has been adjudged the Home-Based Footballer of the Year at this year’s Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Awards, held in Accra on Saturday.

The accolade recognises Asare’s outstanding performances on the local scene over the past season, during which he demonstrated consistency, leadership and exceptional skill for his club. His influence on the pitch, coupled with his discipline and dedication, earned him admiration from fans, coaches and sports journalists alike.
The SWAG Awards, now regarded as one of the most prestigious events on the national sporting calendar, continues to honour athletes who distinguish themselves in various disciplines. This year’s ceremony brought together government officials, sports administrators, former athletes and supporters to celebrate excellence and commitment within Ghana’s sporting fraternity.
