The Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Kofi Adams, has officially appointed Ghanaian football legend Abedi Pele Ayew, popularly known as El Maestro, to the Inter-Ministerial Advisory Board.
Abedi Pele, a three-time African Footballer of the Year, is expected to bring his vast experience and deep knowledge of the game to support the government in shaping key sports policies and long-term development strategies. His inclusion on the board is viewed as a significant step towards strengthening the governance and growth of sports in the country.
The celebrated former Black Stars captain hails from a distinguished football family. His brother, as well as his three sons, have all represented Ghana at various levels, further cementing the Ayew family’s legacy in national football.
Authorities believe Abedi Pele’s involvement will greatly enhance ongoing efforts to elevate Ghana’s sporting standards on the international stage.
