English-born youngster Josh Kofi Acheampong has declared his readiness to represent the Ghana Black Stars, making him eligible through his Ghanaian father, while also holding Irish heritage through his mother.

According to Rahman Osman, a highly respected Ghanaian journalist based in England and known to be close to both the player and his family, Acheampong is willing to commit his international future to Ghana, provided the national team makes a decisive and formal approach.

The 19-year-old is widely regarded as a player of immense promise, with his versatility, composure and technical ability marking him out as one of the brightest emerging talents of his generation. His early inclusion in the Black Stars setup would not only strengthen the squad in the short term but also serve as a strategic move towards securing his long-term international allegiance.

With the World Cup on the horizon, early integration could prove crucial in fully convincing the youngster and accelerating his adaptation to the national team environment.

The responsibility now rests with the Ghana Football Association to act swiftly and decisively.
