Black Galaxies head coach Kasim Mingle Ocansey has handed opportunities to five standout players from the Access Bank Division One League as preparations begin for the team’s forthcoming assignments.

A total of 34 players reported to the Erata Hotel in Accra on Monday, 20 April 2026, as the home-based national team assembled for an assessment and training programme.

The camp forms part of efforts to build a comprehensive player database, allowing the technical team to monitor emerging talents from across the country and strengthen the squad for future competitions.

Among the invited players are promising goalkeeper Elisha Kwarteng Asante of West Africa Football Academy and left wing-back Evans Sorkai of New Edubiase United.

The attacking department features three forwards: Junior Korblah Kedzi of Port City, Abdul Majeed Masawud of Attram De Visser, and Joseph Wisdom Manyina of Real Tamale United.

The selected players are expected to take part in intensive training sessions and at least one friendly match during their stay in camp, giving the coaching staff an opportunity to assess their readiness for the national team.

Their inclusion underlines the growing quality within Ghana’s Division One League and offers further proof that strong domestic performances can open the door to international recognition.
