Ghana FA grant Premier League game to be played in honour of Akufo-Addo
The Ghana Football Association, GFA has given the go ahead for the game between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League to be used to honour the President Akufo-Addo on Independence Day.
Ghana celebrates her 66th Independence Day anniversary on the 6th March, 2023 and Ghana Premier League’s Match Day 20 between the arch rivals will not only be for the three points but also to celebrate the sitting President.
The Ghana League Clubs Association, GHALCA, the organizers of the President’s Cup requested that game be played in honour of the President and has duly been granted by the Football Association.
The annual game was won by Hearts of Oak last year beating Asante Kotoko 2-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The game will come off on Sunday, March 05, 2023 at the Accra Sports Stadium at 4PM.
