Head Coach of Accra Hearts of Oak Slavtko Matic has expressed his disappointment in the teeming supporters of the club over their only appreciation of victory without support during challenging times.

The Serbian who has had a tremendous mark as the head of the technical team of the club since his arrival late last year, has urged the supporters of the club to desist from showing up only when the team is on the rise.

Under his belt in 14 games, he has a 61.7 percent win rate scoring seventeen (17) times and conceding ten (10) in seventeen games.

Before his coming, the team had a record of 22.2 percent win rate in the 2022/23 season giving credence to his working abilities at the club.

The 46-year-old is calling on the supporters of the club to throw their support behind the team if they could have a chance of winning the league trophy.

“I am disappointed in Hearts of Oak fans because they don’t support when the boys are struggling on the field and they want to celebrate only victory,” he told the media.

The FA Cup Champions defeated Berekum Chelsea by 3-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium on March Day 17 to move second on the league table with 28 points behind leaders, Aduana Stars.
