Mamelodi Sundowns booked their place in the CAF Champions League final for the second successive season after edging past ES Tunis 1-0 on Saturday.

The South African champions completed a professional job over two legs, sealing a 2-0 aggregate victory to continue their impressive run in Africa’s premier club competition.

Having taken a slender advantage into the return fixture, Sundowns produced another disciplined and composed display, frustrating the Tunisian giants before finding the decisive goal that ended any hopes of a comeback.

The result underlines Sundowns’ growing dominance on the continental stage, with the Pretoria-based side once again showing why they are regarded as one of Africa’s strongest clubs. Their blend of tactical organisation, attacking quality and big-match experience proved too much for ES Tunis across the tie.
